A Day at #BeautyConLondon 2015

So...this weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, if I'm completely honest. On Tuesday last week, I woke up to a veeery exciting email from the babes over at BeautyCon and by Saturday morning I found myself making the trip down to Kensington for BeautyCon London. Now, I did attempt vlogging for the first ever time and I really enjoyed it, so when I finally get round to editing it (hopefully Friday) give me a holla if you watch it and let me know what you think?

I won't lie, I've only been to London a handful of times before, definitely under the 10 visit mark when I think on it. However, it is one of my favourite places in the country. Kind of like New York, it's so vibrant and full of energy , which is probably why I love it so much, and you can always find everything you could ever want and more. Last week, I was still at uni in Leicester when I got the news, so the price to get down to London actually worked out a hell of a lot cheaper than it would have if I'd been at home. Whilst my journey down to London verged on hellish, more info to come in a vlog on Saturday if you are interested, the event itself was absolutely amazing.

BeautyCon has taken on Dallas, LA and New York before, but this is the first time the company have come to the UK and I am thrilled that I got the chance to attend London's debut. Just throwing my appreciation out there once more to the BeautyCon organisers...major love to you! As my journey there and back was my only expense of the day, and half of that was refunded due to the absolute chaos it involved, I decided I would spend more on myself at the venue. Both Benefit and Tarte were giving out discounts and it is ridiculously hard to get hold of Tarte in the UK so I couldn't resist picking up an Amazonian Clay blush. The night before we left, Liz Earle announced that they would also be attending and if you have been reading this blog for a while, you will be well aware of my love affair with Liz. That woman, and her company, makes my skin unbelievably happy.

I don't profess to be amazing at photography, but now that I am free from uni for the summer I want to make more of an effort with the photos that I do take, but for now this will do. If you are interested in seeing some snippets from BeautyCon London, I am uploading a vlog of my day there on Saturday which you can see here. If you like the videos I make, feel free to hit that subscribe button...even if only for my first effort at vlogging, let alone in public!
